Paris Apartment for the birds!

Okay....This is not your average bird.  She just can't deal with the whole up in a tree thing.  A house would be more practical yes, but look at her!  She's living the dream baby!  This will definetely set a new trend in the city.  Yes, country birds...live in a tree and be who you are destined to be, but you city gals...if this shoe is available in a back yard or under a vintage airstream trailor (see how my minds works?)  I suggest you claim it quickly, before another bird does.  :)  Don't you think a Christmas tree will fit nicely up in the heel?

I created this with busy hands, creativity and lots of hot glue!  If I was a bird this is how I would love to go about it!  You can find this and other practical things at Ozarks ;)

Vintage Christmas ornaments

Happy biggest shopping day of the year.

We are armed with our morning lattes and have our running shoes on!  Come in and say hi!  Nancy has the biggest collection of vintage Christmas ornaments I have ever seen!  As you browse the store, you'll see vintage mercury ornaments everywhere!  Of course we have the current and new...Nancy couldn't resist!  Cody Foster, Wendy Addison, Midwest....... owls, penquins, frosted lit houses, unusual tinsel trees.  We invite you to come and have some hot cider and listen to soft Christmas music while you shop.

Stained, chippy and fabulous

This display is soo wonderful, it's beyond words!  It has everything I love...an old dressform, a chippy curved dresser, rusty metal objects de art, and a tree full of Paris ornaments!  There is glitter, old papers, tinsel, antique metal light fixtures paired with mercury glass ornaments and plaster urns....WOW!

Cathy's Creations

Cathy Schultz has a wonderful imagination and nimble fiingers!  Her whimsical characters will make you smile and if you're like most...make you want to adopt them and keep them safe at home!  She is truely an artist!  She hand sews her characters and adorns them with vintage goodies and uses vintage fabrics, they are alive with personality! We all hope that we can be the ones to see these cuties when she brings them in to the store (because, they soon leave to their new homes) From Santas to angels to snowmen, Cathy brings life to these lovable creatures.  If you feel you need to have a Santa of your very own, I suggest you come in and see what she has been working on these days!  Don't worry we all encourage her to work on more even after  she brings in an armful :)

Byrd Lane Pottery

This is the time of year we will be sitting down with our loved ones to share a moment and a meal.  I know I start focusing more on food and dishes to create a beautiful table......Okay, I'm thinking about food a lot during these darker, colder months :)

I'm lucky, adorning my table is a lot of Byrd Lane Pottery.  Mainly because, the potter is my mom, Janet Elson!  And another great reason is because the large, beautiful dishes look soo good on the table, heaped with warm bread, mounded with mashed potatoes and filled with raspberry jam.  My children associate the pottery with big meals and time at the table with our family, and of course grandma.  Good times! 

The good news is....I'm not the only one who can have Byrd Lane pottery!  We have it for sale at Ozarks!  if you are looking for a hand thrown bowl for the yams, or a warm colored plate for your cut ham, come in and see what Byrd Lane Pottery dishes we have!

Ann's cozy pillows....ahhhhh....

Ann is our resident pillow aficionado.  She makes wonderful pillows from hip to elegant. Some have chic vintage buttons, others have vintage fabrics and lace.  Some of her pillows have designer fabrics, and others are a quiet linen...but what they all do have is total comfort :)

If your chair is needing a boost, or your couch has been getting a lot of use lately...maybe you should come and take a look at her yummy assortment of pillows.  It could be the small change your room needs right now!

Kathy's amazing wreaths!

This time of year Ozarks is blessed with some of the most wonderful wreaths you'll ever see.  Especially if you are a vintage junkie like myself!  Kathy, our queen of paper crafts and vintage holiday goodies, makes these wonderful wreaths and they are chuck full of vintage ornaments and magic.  Here's a beautiful example.

Santa has come to Ozarks!

We had a very busy and enjoyable time at Ozarks this weekend.  If you came to visit us, I hope you enjoyed cookies and found many wonderous decorations.  We were excited about the great turn out and have been restocking.  This year's holiday decor is just beautiful and we still have cookies left :)

Oooh la la!

Things are really shaping up inside.  Beautiful combinations of ruff and rustic along side the gilded mirrors and drippy chandeliers.  I think this will be a fun surprise!  Only 2 more days...

We are still closed and working on displays and well....the whole transformation!
